The pre-camp program planning meeting is for you, the Scoutmaster, and for your Senior Patrol Leader to get an overview of Camp Squanto in 2009 and to give you assistance in your program planning before you arrive in camp. Also, any last minute administrative instructions and details will be given to you at this time.

It is vital that all troops have at least one representative in attendance for this planning session.

6:00pm   Dinner is served in the Dining Hall

7:15pm   Meeting begins in the Lyons Nature Center

The Scoutmaster and Senior Patrol Leader should be at the camp on the Monday evening the week before your camp arrival date.

An explanation and discussion of camp and troop administrative policies including the Merit Badge enrollment method.

An explanation and discussion of troop program and advancement opportunities available at camp.

Troop Rosters are collected. We encourage you to have ready your merit badge forms to turn in also. Medical Forms should come with your troop on Sunday.

A Round Robin with Area Directors to schedule your troop program for the coming week. Our areas include: Aquatics, C.O.P.E & Climbing, Handicraft, Nature, Scoutcraft, Sports, and Shooting Sports.

Area Directors have the responsibility of insuring equal afternoon program opportunities for each troop. They reserve the right to restrict your scheduling until all units have visited them.

PROGRAM CHANGES: At Camp you may make changes in your troops program at any time. Please make all changes with the Area Directors. Don’t hesitate to make changes if you feel they are in the best interest of your Scouts.
